RESTAURANT OVERVIEW

If you’re missing some french baked goods, drop by COCU.  This little boulangerie seems stuck in time with it’s reclaimed wood boards.

Love the texture of the baguettes COCU produces, and have often stopped by mid afternoon for a coffee and a pain au chocolat

Try the beer tasting

RESTAURANT OVERVIEW

When Antares first opened in Mar del Plata in the 1990s, it craft beer was still in it’s infancy.  While images of finely cooked beef paired with a glass of Malbec typically come to mind, that dialogue is changing.  Now brewpubs serving craft beers have sprung up all around Argentina.

The beer selection here is hard to beat, try to come for happy hour (usually 1800h to 2000h, but check their facebook for updated hours)

RESTAURANT OVERVIEW

Just as soil affects the quality of wine, a cow’s diet can change the quality of it’s flesh. Pasture raised grass fed beef gives the asado a beautiful texture and intense flavor. The chefs at La Cabrera are at the top of their game, giving the care and attention in bringing out the flavor of the country’s famed grass-fed beef.

Tastefully decorated, the restaurant’s warm lights on exposed brick walls draw you in.  The table setting’s simple, crisp and clean, And while the menu’s main focus is steak, there are plenty of creative side dishes which pair well with the hearty steaks.  Their starters, provoleta de queso de cabra (grilled goat’s cheese) and chinchulines de cordero (small lamb’s intestines) are local favourites.

Tip: Try their much lauded sister restaurant La Cabrera Norte if you’re unable to secure a table here.

Tip

Try the Lemonade with coconut milk

COFFEE SHOP OVERVIEW

Their tagline reads simplemente diferente (simply different), and it’s true. Be it from sourcing 100% columbian beans, to doing modern twists on classics like Lemonade (their limonada de coco), or even simple touches like etched foam art on the lattes. What they do they do very well.

There may be a wee bit of a wait at times, just sit back relax and enjoy the coffee house vibe.

RESTAURANT OVERVIEW

The decor reminds us of a New York style dining room.  They keep things trendy yet romantic, perfect for a romantic night out without sacrificing on quality. Established in 2004, their oysters are sourced, manually from the rocks, when the tide recedes along the Patagonian coast.  It’s no wonder everyone’s raving about their oysters. Fresh seafood, great mixologists and attentive waitstaff make Crizia one of our favorite restaurants in the city.

Foodies, luxury travelers, trendsetters all love this place. Just be sure to call ahead and make a reservation.
